Hi, I’m Lace

I am a certified postpartum doula with a deep passion for supporting families during one of the most meaningful and transformative times in their lives. I have been proudly serving families throughout Chicagoland and the surrounding suburbs for the last 5 years.

I previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 11 years, with the last four years focused on caring for children with disabilities. I also spent three years as a nanny for three young girls under the age of five. Caring for children and supporting families has always come naturally to me—I have always found comfort and joy in helping others, whether that’s with babies, children, or adults.

In 2018, I volunteered as a birth doula for one year and had the honor of assisting three families during labor in hospital settings. It was incredibly rewarding to watch them feel empowered, informed, and supported as they followed their birth plans and explored their options. That experience strengthened my calling to become a postpartum and birth doula.

When I had my own children, I realized just how valuable extra support can be during birth and the postpartum period. Even with family nearby, things can change quickly, and having someone who is consistently there for you makes all the difference. This experience, along with many others, deepened my desire to provide reassurance and support to families during a time when so much is happening.

I have always loved caring for babies. Growing up, I helped my mom care for two of my younger siblings from birth, which taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of nurturing care. I pride myself on strong communication, organization, and reliability. During the postpartum phase, parents can feel overwhelmed balancing newborn care, siblings, and household responsibilities. I love being that extra set of hands—helping families feel supported and balanced so they can focus on bonding with their baby and caring for their growing family.

I am happily married and a proud mom of two daughters. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening with my husband, and taking my daughters to music and horse-riding lessons.

I am always furthering my education and certifications to better serve the families I work with, including expanding my knowledge and practice in sleep support and sleep consultancy. My goal is to continue growing professionally so I can provide the most up-to-date, compassionate, and practical care for each family I support.

I believe every family deserves personalized, nurturing, and knowledgeable support during the postpartum period, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on this beautiful journey.
